Latest NFL news makes the Bengals revenge game against Titans, Brian Callahan even more interesting
Sam Greene/The Enquirer-USA TODAY NETWORK

When the Cincinnati Bengals clash with the Tennessee Titans this season there are going to be several ripples to the drama of the game.

The biggest most obvious one is Brian Callahan leaving the Bengals to be the head coach for the Titans. He has taken several players with him to the Smoky Mountains and the latest one fits in on the offensive side of the football where he specializes.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Titans are signing former Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd to a one-year deal worth up to $4.5 million.

Boyd is the latest member of the Bengals to join the Titans and he does it after spending the first eight seasons of his career in Cincinnati. Boyd has been one of the better secondary wideouts in the NFL for his career and even went over 1,000 yards in both the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

2017 was the only season that Boyd did not exceed at least 600 yards and he only played in 10 games that year.

Heading to Tennessee seems like an ideal fit for Boyd, who again won’t have to be the guy for an offense. DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley will both be ahead of Boyd on the depth chart, much like he had Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins ahead of him in Cincinnati.

Not only will the Bengals have to get to defeat their former offensive coordinator, but an offensive playmaker that has scored 31 touchdowns in the past for them.
